||||||||||||
Our membership fee is £3.00. We aim to have 20 people join our society in Freshers which will bring in £60.00 total. Members have free entry to our events but for non-members there will be a charge so this will bring in a small amount of money too (about £10 per month). We are waiting for our sponsorship with Leicester Board Game Café to be signed off by the SU which will bring in £50.00 towards the D&D set. |
||||||||||||
Max 150 words | Dungeons and Dragons starter equipment including three core rule books, dice, and starter set with character sheets and a story arc. Grant funding will be used to purchase the Player rule books, the dice, and the starter kit. We will fund the monsters guide and dungeons masters guide ourselves. |

Comic Con contribution | £50.00
Max 350 words | As a society dedicated to celebrating and promoting comic books and comic culture, we want to branch out into gaming and allow members to socialise and enjoy a collaborative game over the course of the entire year. As a new society, we are keen to begin organising trips and more large scale events to attract more members and improve relationships between current members. Dungeons and Dragons is a collaborate game which will be played for between four and eight hours a week for the entire academic year, which will foster fantastic relations between the players. This is the first long-term project that the Comic Book society have attempted. As a society that have been in operation for less than a year, we want to foster a tradition of socialisation and friendship between our members. This is one of our constitutional objectives. We believe having an outlet for our members to relax and participate in Dungeons and Dragons week-in week-out will be invaluable to the development of our society. The books, dice, and starter set will belong to the society and be passed down for future years to use and enjoy. |

5. Grant Funding Financial Breakdown
Our society is quite new and only started last year. We were having mostly men coming to the sessions so towards the end of the year we asked our female members' opinions why they thought that more women weren't interested in joining. One of the things mentioned was that it's quite daunting to join a dicussion session when you don't know anybody. We want to branch out into more fun games as D&D is something everyone can get involved in and it makes for a more welcoming environment. We hope that with this equipment, we can promote the weekly gaming sessions to students from all backgrounds and all genders. Then we can build friendships through the game, and encourage more people to attend our comic book discussion meetings and socials. | Use this table to list all of the costs associated with your event/project/campaign.
