Reading Children will be responsible for changing their own books and are able to do this every day if they wish. Children should be encouraged to write comments in their reading record book, every day. We would appreciate your co-operation in ensuring that the book is signed at least three times a week, along with the date and any comments you may wish to make with regard to your child’s reading. It is extremely important that your child reads daily. We expect children to read for at least 10 minutes every day. Even the most independent of readers will need to discuss the content of the book with an adult. Please ensure that they understand the vocabulary and that they are reading with expression and above all enjoyment! P.E. Our PE sessions will continue on a Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure your child has their kit in school on these days; they will need their full outdoor kit too. Please make sure that all your child’s belongings are clearly labelled with forename and surname. Finally, please feel free to use your child’s contact book to inform me of any day-to-day issues. After school is the best time to speak with me in person. Alternatively, you may make an appointment to see me via the school office. We are looking forward to a fun and beneficial term, Regards Miss Leadley and Mrs Askin.
